Three actuaries – and CEOs – discuss their views on how the business world is changing and what that might mean for actuaries in the future.

Actuaries’ critical analysis, business judgement and professionalism continue to set them apart in a rapidly changing world and workplace. The shift of responsibility from institutions to individuals in traditional actuarial areas, and the swift evolution of new technologies, including machine learning and AI, mean actuaries need to adapt more and faster than ever.

This event is now fully booked. Please click here to join the waiting list.

John Taylor, President of the IFoA, will chair a panel of actuaries who are or have also been CEOs to discuss their insights on how the business and professional world is changing, and what opportunities and threats that poses for the actuary of the future.

The panellists are:

  • Evelyn Bourke, Group CEO of BUPA
  • Andy Briggs, previously CEO of Aviva Insurance and Group CEO at Friends Life. Recently appointed as the government’s new Business Champion for the Ageing Society Grand Challenge and will co-chair the UK Longevity Council with Secretary of State for Health and Social Care Matt Hancock.
