In the insurance sector, one of the most significant global reforms in response to the financial crisis that started in 2007 is the development of the global Insurance Capital Standard (ICS) for internationally active insurance groups. The International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS) recently published ICS version 1.0 for extended field testing. This talk will focus on the actuarial aspects of the ICS and how actuaries can support its implementation.
