This event will give an overview of the current and future use of wearables and the Internet of Things (IoT).
The format of the evening will be a presentation after which we will open up the floor for questions & debate with a panel session, including non actuarial panellists, this will be followed by an opportunity to network over a drink.
There will be 3 parts to the presentation:
- The Impact of Wearables and the Internet of Things working party will give an update on their research so far covering current usage, different health measures and their accuracy (Anna Spender, Director of Actuarial & Data Analytics, Punter Southall Health & Protection and working party chair; Colin Bullen, Consulting and Actuarial Lead, Habits at Work, working party deputy chair)
- The Future of Behaviour Tracking - broader tracking achieved through IOT sensor data that can be used to give behavioural insight. (Patrick Lynch, VP Business Development EMEA at Sentiance)
- Engagement Over Pricing – looking at the business benefits that can be extracted from leveraging IoT to engage the customer & how this can give us time to understand the impact on claims experience (Oliver Werneyer, Customer Technology Manager, Swiss Re Life Capital Management.
