To mark the first honorary fellow being elected in China, IFoA will be holding a grand event on Friday 27 May. We have the pleasure to invite Dr Zhao Yulong to be our speaker at the event. He will share with us, for the first time, some fundamental concepts of C-ROSS, and his thinking behind some key decisions. This is going to be the first of a series of technical events that IFoA will be holding for its members in China.
About the speaker
Dr Zhao Yulong is the first IFoA honorary fellow in mainland China. He works as the deputy director general of the Solvency Regulation Department of the China Insurance Regulatory Commission. He is the one who masterminded C-ROSS. Since its implementation in Jan this year, it has attracted much attention from the insurance industry both in China and abroad. He is also an adjunct professor at several universities and serves as the anonymous referee for two top academic journals in China.
This event applies to all practice areas and is not specifically aimed at life actuaries. The event is free for all IFoA members and invited guests. Attendees can claim up to one hour CPD.
