Public Sector Pension Changes

Allan Martin will be talking about the last bastion of defined benefit pension provision in the UK. Allan is an actuary and independent trustee looking after a dozen very different funded private sector schemes. Last year however, he added the unfunded Scottish Firefighters’ Pension Scheme Chair to his portfolio together with a non-executive directorship of the Scottish Public Pensions Agency which looks after unfunded public sector arrangements for almost half a million members. He no longer acts as a Scheme Actuary but he does provide actuarial advice and undertakes expert witness work.
