Reflecting on economic and political implications of recent leadership changes - sponsored by MacFarlanes.

In recent months there have been some seismic shifts in leadership across Southern Africa and the implications of these remain uncertain.

The Southern African Actuarial ConneXion group (SAAX) invite you to a panel discussion where we will be exploring the socio, political and economic implications of the recent leadership changes in Zimbabwe, Angola and South Africa. In particular we will look at the macro environment covering the implications for FDI, GDP growth, job creation as well as sector and themes driving change going forward.

Wise Chigudu is cofounder of student lending platform GrowFiniti and founder and Director of the actuarial consultancy, Impi Risk Solutions. Wise is also a non executive director of the Board to Africa’s first catastrophe risk fund African Risk Capacity Insurance Company Limited (Bermuda).

 

Batanayi Katongera - Head of Transfer Pricing, MacFarlanes

Batanayi has extensive experience in assisting multinational enterprises to design, implement, manage and defend their internal transfer pricing policies and documentation processes. 

 

Ronald S. Chirochangu - Managing Director, BetaRisk

Ronald has 15 years’ experience delivering diverse innovative solutions covering multi-asset investments, fund of funds, real assets/illiquid assets, direct investments, risk management and LDI strategies for large institutional investors in the UK, EMEA, US and Asia. He has worked with Legal & General, Aviva, Friends Life, AXA IM and UBS Investment Bank.
