The Society of Actuaries in Ireland (SAI) will hold its 2016 Annual Convention on Thursday, 2nd June 2016 in the Convention Centre, Dublin. Would you like to share your expertise or research with the SAI members at the 2016 Convention?

Historically, the SAI Annual Convention has been a half-day event that included presentations on current topics in the Life, Pensions and General Insurance practice areas, followed by a cross-practice plenary session. For 2016, we plan to expand the Convention to a full-day event that will include parallel sessions on a variety of topics, offering choice and variety to the attendees.

How to submit your proposal - please email info@actuaries.ie by Friday, 15th January 2016 to express your interest in getting involved.

We are now inviting expressions of interest from members and non-members who would like to deliver a session at the SAI Convention in Dublin on 2nd June 2016. 

Format: As well as presentations, formats such as a panel discussion, round table discussion or debate would be welcome. You may deliver a session on your own or jointly with others. 

Content: Proposals that are specific to a particular practice area are welcome, as are proposals for sessions that would have cross-practice appeal. Some ideas for subject areas are set out below – but please don’t limit yourself to these - all suggestions are welcome! 

Length of session: Most likely 35 minutes, including approximately 10 minutes for questions from the audience. However, if you feel that your topic needs more time, please indicate that.
