The Life Insurance Committee of the Singapore Actuarial Society is hosting its 3rd Life Insurance Conference with the theme "Collaboration in the Insurance Industry – collaborate or stagnate!" on 25-26 August 2016. This exciting 2-day conference will be held in Singapore, with the aim of fostering knowledge sharing and interactions amongst actuaries and insurance professionals in the region. You will also receive the latest industry updates on hot topics such as RBC2 and IFRS Phase II.

Collaboration is going beyond basic teamwork. It is pulling together a diverse group of experts in order to learn from and work with each other – and that means all of you!

The call for papers is now open! The focus of the topics is on how actuaries and other professionals can collaborate in order to lead the insurance industry forward.  Examples from your own experience or other industries are welcome!  All interesting and relevant topics will be considered by the Life Insurance Committee.

Whilst this is an actuarial conference and we are looking for actuaries to present, feel free to extend the invitation to other relevant professionals whom you work with to be our speakers, e.g. Medical underwriters, Investment professionals, Business leaders, and Academics – just to name a few.

To express your interest in presenting at this conference, please send an excerpt, a brief outline of the presentation and biography of the presenter to lic@actuaries.org.sg on or before 13 June 2016. Selected presenters will be notified via email.

We welcome any thoughts or suggestions and are looking forward to your participation at the Life Insurance Conference.  If you have any clarifications and questions regarding the conference, please send your enquiries to Patsy Lau at patsy@actuaries.org.sg
