This event is hosted by TANC (The Actuarial Network at Cass) in conjunction with CANUK (The Chinese Actuarial Network UK).
TANC
TANC is a special interest group of Cass Business School and City University, which organises unique events of actuarial interest in slightly wider fields than actuarial professionals may typically have access to through their work. Although our events are aimed primarily at alumni, we also welcome friends and colleagues in joining our network of like-minded professionals.
CANUK
CANUK is an independent and non-profit making membership organisation for Chinese actuaries living and working in the UK. It aims to provide a networking platform for Chinese actuaries based in the UK and to bring Chinese actuaries and students together at professional, educational and social events.
They say you should never waste a good crisis. Corporate scandals and spectacular company failures can teach us a lot about the link between business ethics, governance and financial performance. This talk will use case studies such as Afren, Olympus, Tesco and Barclays to highlight the importance of ethics, governance and responsibility in today’s business environment.

The speaker will be Ashley Hamilton Claxton, Corporate Governance Manager, RLAM.
Ashley oversees RLAM’s corporate governance analysis, company engagement and proxy voting.
