The event will be appealing to girls who are interested in pursuing a career in STEM and therefore potentially a career as an actuary.
This is the first event in a series of events we will be holding over the next year to promote diversity in the profession.
Are you a girl at school who is fascinated by science, technology, engineering or maths?
If so, then this event is for you!
Here at the IFoA, we pride ourselves on the huge number of roles that our members take working as actuaries. From working with pensions and insurance, to climate change, Artificial Intelligence (AI), cybercrime and health care.
With only 24% of female graduates moving into STEM careers we want to use this opportunity to show you how you can use your interests, your skills and knowledge to make an impact in the world of work. How companies will support you in your career and what the challenges are that will face you in this journey.
This event is free to attend because we want you to have all the information you may need at your fingertips, when you are thinking about what you may be doing for the rest of your working life!
We can’t wait to welcome you to this event to meet not only us but employers across a wide range of different industries.
