Determinations Review Sub-committee

The Determinations Review Sub-committee was set up in 2019 and it assists the Disciplinary Committee with its objective of overseeing the disciplinary process.

The sub-committee reviews every determination issued by judicial panels and provides a report to the Disciplinary Committee. This report makes recommendations about how the decision making process could be improved and areas where training may be appropriate. The sub-committee does not have power over any decision and does not act as an appeal function.

The Determinations Review Sub Committee shall comprise at least four members to include at least:

  • one member of the Disciplinary Committee who is a lay person
  • one member of the Disciplinary Committee who is an actuary member
  • one member of the Disciplinary Investigations Team
  • one member of the Judicial Committees Secretary Team.
