Your opinion matters: Consultation on proposed changes to the Actuaries’ Code

The Institute and Faculty of Actuaries has launched a consultation on proposed changes to the Actuaries’ Code (the Code).

As well as changes to the Code itself, the proposals include the introduction of an accompanying Guide to assist Members in understanding their professional and regulatory responsibilities under the Code.

The Code applies to all IFoA members and, given its importance in our regulatory framework, we encourage you to read the proposals and provide us with your views.

We invite you to attend one of our consultation meetings, where members of the working party and the IFoA Executive will be in attendance to explain the proposals and answer any questions.

If you are not able to attend the consultation meetings in person, a recording of the London session will be made available via our website.

If you are unable to attend in person and would like to send us a question for consideration at the meeting then please do so either by email or post to the IFoA's Edinburgh office. We will attempt to answer questions received at the meetings but, for practical reasons that may not be possible for all questions.

IFoA members attending or viewing one of the consultation meetings may claim up to 1 hour of CPD for attendance at an external event. This event will qualify for 1 hour of Stage 3 Professional Skills Training under the IFoA CPD Scheme 2017/18.
