Jane Curtis, President of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, has offered her congratulations to the successful candidates in the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries’ recent examinations.
September 2011 saw 9503 entries for the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries’ examinations. The exams took place in a total of 129 centres world-wide and 4086 of these were sat overseas. Other practical exams take place throughout the year, and many candidates qualify when sitting these exams.
Jane Curtis said: “The difficulty of our exams reflects the challenging nature of life as a professional actuary and I would like to offer my congratulations to those who were successful.
“To those who were unsuccessful this time, I would urge you to stick at it. The reward of your hard work and application will be a career full of opportunity. I would also like to congratulate the 26 candidates who passed the enterprise risk management course and who are now Chartered Enterprise Risk Actuaries. This means that since the launch of the qualification in 2010, we now have 95 CERA qualified actuaries. This rapidly growing group of actuaries are leading the way in making this qualification a mark of excellence in the developing field of enterprise risk management.”
