Revised Standard: APS D1: Investment Related Business Activities for Authorised Professional Firms. Version 3.0

A revised version of APS D1: Investment Related Business Activities for Authorised Professional Firms (Version 3.0) has been issued in advance of its effective date of 1 July 2016.

APS D1 version 2.0 effective from 1 March 2013 was due for review by 1 March 2016 and has now been revised and updated to reflect:

• Changed references to the “Professional Regulation Executive Committee (PREC)” to its successor body “Regulation Board”,
• Changed references to the “Financial Services Authority (FSA)” to its successor body the “Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)”,
• The current branding of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA),
• The updated definition of misconduct in the IFoA’s Disciplinary Scheme.
