CMI Working Paper 159

CMI Working Paper 159 was published in December 2021. It contains a number of analyses that are intended to be helpful to users of the CMI Model, including:

• Analysis of mortality in 2020 and 2021 for the general population and in the CMI datasets, including an analysis of monthly mortality in England by cause of death in 2020 and 2021.
• Mortality improvements by Index of Multiple Deprivation (IMD).
• Mortality improvements in CMI datasets.
• Consideration of the goodness of fit of the APCI model used to calibrate the Model.
• An updated analysis of the possible impact of the 2021 census on the Model.
• A summary of progress on our work on causes of death.
