The CMI Mortality Projections Model – Annual research paper
CMI Working Paper 208 was published in December 2025. It contains a number of analyses that are intended to be helpful to users of the CMI Model, including:
- Analysis of recent mortality for the general population and in the CMI datasets, including an analysis of registration delays in ONS weekly deaths data.
- A high level summary of our plans for CMI_2025.
- Mortality improvements by Index of Multiple Deprivation (IMD).
- Mortality improvements in CMI datasets.
- An analysis of mortality in 12 territories using the new flexible overlay introduced in CMI_2024 version 3.
