Due to high demand, the IFoA is running an additional webinar for existing students on Curriculum 2019 and PPD.

The webinar will cover the key details of the new syllabus and examination structure coming into effect from 1 January 2019 and also, an overview of new work-experience requirements; ‘Personal and Professional Development (PPD)’ replacing Form A/B and Work-Based Skills.

This talk will introduce a new pension contract that protects customers from adverse asset price movements, while keeping the potential of positive returns.  It has a transparent structure and clear  distribution rule, which can be easily understood by the customer. By comparing with other pensions contracts under a behavioural model (the Cumulative Prospect Theory), we show that this new contract can be the optimal choice for customers.

A 2 hour CPD event designed to meet the IFoA’s Stage 3 Professional Skills Training under the IFoA’s CPD Scheme 2018/2019.  This session is suitable for actuaries working in any area (i.e. it is not specifically aimed at Pensions, GI or any other technical discipline) and is interactive, so you should come along prepared to take part in the discussions.

Speaker Lisa Altmann Richer will draw on the latest developments in machine learning and big data to present a framework for how predictive analytics could be used to help improve the forecasting of demand for health care services.
