Regulators and legislators are increasing their focus on this topic, with GDPR a notable example of this.

    This talk will be in two parts: the first considers Strategy Risk, defining this in terms of risks to future sales and initiatives to drive value from the back book.  External and internal risks are considered along with how we may mitigate these.  A key mitigant of Strategy Risk is Stress and Scenario Testing (SST) which helps firms to identify risks to strategy as well as understand how strategy impacts on financial strength.  The second part of the talk covers practical aspects of SST including scenario development and quantification.
