Bromiley & Partners Wealth Management (Senior Partner Practice of St. James’s Place Wealth Management) has become the UK’s first wealth manager to receive accreditation to the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries Quality Assurance Scheme (QAS).
Bromiley & Partners Wealth Management provide financial advice and wealth management services to individuals, families, and companies across the UK; operating as a St. James's Place Wealth Management Partner for 10 years to provide a holistic, tailored wealth management service.
The IFoA QAS award was accredited to Bromiley & Partners Wealth Management in recognition of their having provided a working environment that enables actuaries to fulfil their professional responsibilities and deliver high-quality actuarial work.
The objectives of the QAS are to promote quality assurance at an organisational level; to promote confidence in the work of actuaries, and to provide an important mechanism to identify issues affecting the quality of actuarial work.
QAS accredited its first member in April 2016, and today approximately 15% of the IFoA’s global membership work with a QAS accredited organisation, giving a total of 45 accredited organisations worldwide.
As a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, moving out of a traditional actuarial field and into wealth management was a big decision as I was leaving behind a qualification I’d worked so hard for. However, it turns out I wasn’t leaving anything behind. Being an actuary is highly regarded and increasingly recognised globally as a gold standard of professionalism. I’ve found that being an actuary not only helps with the more technical aspects of the job but adds an extra level of reassurance to my clients, instilling credibility, and trust. QAS was therefore a logical step for us to take and I couldn’t be happier that my two professional worlds have come together in this way.
