Ogden Discount Rate Working Party

  • Consider issues and methodologies actuaries may need to allow for in respect of the core actuarial disciplines. This will include reserving, pricing, capital and reinsurance.

Towards the Optimal Reserving Process Working Party

The reserving process is under pressure from all sides, with a focus on faster/earlier close processes and embedded solvency 2 reporting. With IFRS 17 on the near horizon, reserving processes need to change gear again. The Working party aims to share best practice in these challenging times and has recently worked on an industry survey, machine learning/automation and IFRS 17 as key topics.
