The disbanded Fairness in Insurance Pricing Working Party reviewed and summarised various issues (past and present) surrounding the discrimination debate
Key objectives were to:
- continue working with the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA’s) policy team to take advantage of, and contribute to, relevant public and media debate
- provide input into relevant consultations as required
- carry out further consumer research, if relevant
- co-ordinate with the Communication and Consultation working party.
Outputs:
- Contributing to DEFRA Consultations in 2014.
- Results of Consumer Research Conducted by Fairness in Insurance Pricing Working Party (CIGI, May 2013)
- Updating from the Discrimination Working Party (GIRO, 2012)
- Pricing Seminar Presentation on Results of Consumer Research Conducted by the Working Party (June 2012)
